This position ensures that all rigging operations comply with company safety regulations, industry standards, and Aramco-specific guidelines. The role is pivotal for maintaining workflow efficiency, reducing operational risks, and contributing to the timely completion of projects. Riggers work closely with engineers, crane operators, and other site personnel to coordinate complex lifting operations.
Key Responsibilities
A Rigger Level 3 is tasked with inspecting lifting equipment such as slings, chains, hooks, and cranes before use to ensure they are in optimal working condition. They plan and execute rigging operations, calculating load weights and determining the safest method for lifting and moving heavy objects. On-site coordination with crane operators and supervisors is essential to prevent accidents and ensure smooth execution. Riggers also supervise lower-level helpers, ensuring that safety protocols are strictly followed and assisting in the setup of scaffolding, lifting frames, and other temporary structures. Documentation of rigging activities, including safety checks and load calculations, is part of the daily responsibilities to maintain compliance and quality standards.
