Responsibilities Across the Available Trades
An E&I Supervisor is generally responsible for coordinating electrical and instrumentation activities, monitoring workforce performance, and ensuring assigned work progresses according to project requirements. E&I Foremen provide closer supervision of field teams and help distribute daily tasks.
Piping Supervisors coordinate piping crews and monitor installation activities, while Work Permit Receivers help ensure that work teams understand permit conditions before beginning controlled activities. Millwright Fitters may work on mechanical equipment installation, alignment, maintenance, and fitting tasks.
Structure Fitters and Pipe Fitters handle measurement, preparation, alignment, and installation activities related to structural and piping work. Grindermen support fabrication and finishing operations by performing grinding and surface-preparation tasks. E&I Helpers provide practical assistance to skilled electrical and instrumentation personnel while carrying out other site duties assigned by supervisors.
