Description
This role focuses on maintaining strict fire safety standards across active industrial work sites, ensuring that all hot work operations are closely monitored to prevent fire incidents. Fire Watch personnel are responsible for observing ongoing activities and identifying any early signs of smoke, sparks, or unsafe conditions. The position is highly important in maintaining workplace safety and ensuring compliance with Maaden project regulations. With a short-term duration of two months, this job requires alert, responsible, and disciplined individuals who can respond quickly to potential hazards and support safe project execution in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
Fire Watch personnel are responsible for continuously monitoring all hot work activities to ensure fire safety rules are strictly followed. They must inspect work areas before, during, and after operations to detect any fire risks or unsafe conditions. Immediate reporting of hazards to supervisors is a critical duty. Candidates must ensure fire extinguishers and safety equipment are always available and ready for use. Coordination with welding and maintenance teams is required to maintain smooth workflow while ensuring safety compliance. Keeping proper observation records and following emergency response procedures are also part of the core responsibilities.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants should have prior experience in fire watch or industrial safety roles, preferably in construction, oil, or gas projects. A strong understanding of fire hazards, safety procedures, and emergency response techniques is essential. Candidates must be physically fit, alert, and capable of working in high-risk environments. Knowledge of Ajeer and chamber requirements is mandatory for eligibility. Good communication skills are necessary to report incidents clearly and effectively. Valid documents such as Iqama, passport, Muqeem, insurance, CV, and experience certificates are required. Previous Gulf or Maaden project experience will be considered an added advantage.
