Fire Watch, WPR, Fitter
Shutdown projects operate on demanding schedules where experienced manpower is needed to complete maintenance and industrial work within a limited timeframe. Skilled workers and permit personnel must be ready to mobilize quickly and follow established site procedures throughout the shutdown period. Seventh Planet Contracting Company has announced an urgent requirement for 30 workers across three positions in Jazan, with immediate mobilization required.
Positions Available for the Shutdown Project
The recruitment covers Standby Men, Fitters, and Aramco Approved Work Permit Receivers (WPRs). Each position supports a different part of shutdown operations. Standby personnel help maintain safe work areas and remain prepared to respond according to site requirements, while Fitters support mechanical maintenance and equipment-related activities.
The WPR position carries specific responsibility for permit-controlled work. An Aramco Approved WPR helps ensure that assigned crews understand the conditions and restrictions of their work permits before activities begin.
Responsibilities During Shutdown Work
Standby Men may be assigned to monitor designated areas, support emergency preparedness, and remain attentive while maintenance or other shutdown activities are underway. Their role can be important when work involves potentially hazardous operations requiring continuous observation.
Fitters generally assist with mechanical maintenance, equipment dismantling, installation, alignment, and repair activities according to project instructions. They may work with supervisors and other trades to complete assigned tasks efficiently while following applicable safety procedures.
WPRs coordinate permit-related requirements with workers and supervisors. They may review permit conditions, communicate precautions, monitor changes in work conditions, and escalate issues when activities no longer comply with approved requirements.
Candidate Requirements & Documentation
Applicants should have relevant experience for the position they are applying for. The WPR vacancy specifically requires Aramco approval, while candidates for the fitter and standby positions should have suitable industrial or shutdown experience.
The company has listed several documents for mobilization, including Iqama, Muqeem, Medical, Insurance, CR, Chamber, and Vendor Code. Candidates should ensure their documents are valid and confirm whether additional trade certificates or project approvals are required.
