The operator must remain attentive to the work environment and follow established equipment and site procedures.
Safe operation is especially important around construction machinery, structures, overhead hazards, and other workers. A responsible operator helps reduce the risk of equipment incidents while supporting productivity across the project.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The selected operator may be responsible for conducting basic pre-use checks, positioning the manlift correctly, and operating the equipment according to manufacturer and site requirements. The operator should monitor ground conditions, maintain safe clearance, and remain alert to people and equipment working nearby.
Other responsibilities may include reporting mechanical problems, following designated access routes, complying with site instructions, and ensuring that the machine is used only for authorized tasks. Proper communication with supervisors and workers is also important when positioning the platform.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
