The Industrial Shutdown Technicians and Rigger roles are essential positions in large-scale maintenance and shutdown projects within the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. These jobs are focused on supporting critical plant shutdown activities where machinery, equipment, and industrial systems undergo inspection, repair, and replacement within a limited timeframe. Riggers and Millwright Technicians play a key role in ensuring safe lifting operations, equipment alignment, and mechanical installations during shutdown execution. These positions are highly important because shutdown projects require precision, speed, and strict safety compliance to avoid delays and ensure successful restart of plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Riggers (Level II and Level III TUV certified) are responsible for safely lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment using cranes, hoists, and rigging tools. They calculate load weights, inspect lifting gear, and ensure all rigging activities are carried out under strict safety procedures. Millwright Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery, ensuring proper alignment and functionality of mechanical systems during shutdown work. They perform precision fitting, equipment troubleshooting, and mechanical adjustments as required. All workers must follow site safety instructions, attend daily toolbox meetings, and ensure compliance with shutdown schedules. Coordination with supervisors, engineers, and safety officers is also a key part of daily responsibilities to ensure smooth workflow and accident-free operations.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have strong experience in industrial shutdown projects, preferably in oil, gas, or petrochemical environments.
