The role of a rigger is highly critical in ensuring safe lifting, shifting, and positioning of heavy materials and equipment within construction and oil & gas plant environments. This position supports operational efficiency and safety compliance in high-risk industrial projects where precision and expertise are essential.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Rigger III candidates will be responsible for executing safe rigging operations in accordance with industrial safety standards and project requirements. Duties include preparing lifting plans, inspecting rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, and cranes, and ensuring proper load handling during lifting and movement activities. The rigger must coordinate closely with crane operators and site supervisors to ensure accurate signal communication and safe execution of tasks. In addition, maintaining strict adherence to ARAMCO safety guidelines, reporting hazards, and ensuring that all lifting operations are carried out without risk to personnel or equipment will be a core part of daily responsibilities on-site.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must possess strong technical knowledge in rigging procedures, lifting techniques, and industrial safety protocols. ARAMCO approval is mandatory, along with proven experience working in plant or heavy construction environments. Candidates should be capable of understanding lifting plans, weight calculations, and equipment load limits. Physical fitness, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in demanding site conditions are essential. Familiarity with safety documentation, toolbox talks, and hazard identification processes will be highly valued. Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or large-scale oil & gas projects will be considered a strong advantage.
