Description
The engineering quality assurance and quality control sector plays a crucial role in ensuring that large-scale infrastructure and power transmission projects meet international safety and construction standards. Orbit Round General Contracting is currently seeking highly experienced professionals for urgent requirements in the Makkah Region, focusing on Electrical and Civil QA/QC Engineering roles. These positions are essential in monitoring, inspecting, and verifying construction activities, especially in high-voltage transmission and substation projects under the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). The demand for qualified QA/QC engineers is increasing as Saudi Arabia continues to expand its power infrastructure, requiring strict compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. These roles are not only technical but also strategic, ensuring that all work is executed correctly from planning to final inspection, reducing risks and improving overall project quality.
Key Responsibilities
QA/QC Engineers are responsible for ensuring that all construction and electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards. Civil QA/QC Engineers must inspect construction activities, verify structural integrity, and ensure compliance with engineering requirements in high-voltage projects such as 380kV OHTL and substations. Electrical QA/QC Engineers are responsible for inspecting electrical installations, verifying system performance, and ensuring that all electrical components meet safety and operational standards. Both roles involve continuous site monitoring, conducting inspections at different stages of construction, and preparing detailed quality reports. Engineers must also coordinate with project managers, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth workflow. Documentation, reporting non-conformance, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented are also key responsibilities in maintaining project quality and safety compliance.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must possess strong academic and professional backgrounds in engineering, along with extensive experience in QA/QC inspection activities. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction-related inspection work is required, particularly in large infrastructure or power transmission projects. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in 380kV overhead transmission lines (OHTL) or substation projects under the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). Strong knowledge of international engineering standards, quality control procedures, and safety regulations is essential. Candidates must also have the ability to interpret technical drawings, prepare inspection reports, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. SEC approval is highly preferred, and the Iqama profession must be registered as Engineer. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are key qualities required for success in these roles.
