QC & Safety Officer Roles

Description

The QC and Safety Officer roles are essential positions within Aramco-approved construction and industrial projects in Saudi Arabia. These positions play a critical role in maintaining operational quality, workplace safety, and compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards. Based in Jeddah, the project requires experienced professionals who can efficiently manage inspections, documentation, and safety procedures while ensuring that all project activities are executed according to approved regulations. In large-scale industrial projects, quality control and safety management are two of the most important operational areas, making these positions highly valuable for successful project execution and long-term operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

The QC professional is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with Saudi Aramco engineering standards and project specifications. This includes conducting inspections, preparing documentation, coordinating consultant approvals, following up on work inspection requests, and submitting WIRs through official channels. The role requires close coordination with project teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout every stage of construction.

The Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining compliance with Aramco safety management systems and promoting a safe working environment for all personnel on site. Key duties include conducting site inspections, performing risk assessments, investigating incidents, leading safety meetings and toolbox talks, and supervising work permit activities. The role also involves maintaining HSE documentation and ensuring workers follow approved safety procedures to minimize operational risks and workplace accidents.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidates applying for these positions must possess strong technical knowledge and practical experience in industrial or construction projects, especially within Aramco environments. QC candidates should have experience in site inspection procedures, engineering documentation, consultant coordination, and quality assurance processes. Safety Officers should be well-trained in hazard identification, incident prevention, and HSE compliance procedures.

Strong communication and coordination skills are essential for both roles, as candidates will be required to work closely with engineers, supervisors, consultants, and project teams. Applicants must also have good computer knowledge, familiarity with emails and office-related tasks, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Knowledge of civil and electrical operations will provide an added advantage for project coordination and operational understanding.
