Description
The Rigger Level III role is a highly skilled and safety-sensitive position within the industrial construction and oil & gas sector. This position is currently required for the Fadhli Project in Saudi Arabia, where heavy lifting operations, material handling, and equipment movement are essential parts of daily site activities. A Rigger Level III is responsible for ensuring that lifting tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and according to approved industrial standards. In large-scale projects, experienced riggers play a major role in preventing accidents, maintaining workflow efficiency, and supporting crane operations with proper rigging techniques. Because lifting operations involve significant safety risks, this position is considered one of the most important support roles in industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Rigger Level III is responsible for planning and supervising lifting activities while ensuring that all rigging operations comply with approved safety procedures and project requirements. The role includes inspecting lifting tools, slings, shackles, hooks, and other rigging equipment before use to ensure they are safe and certified. The rigger works closely with crane operators, supervisors, and site teams to guide lifting operations and ensure proper communication during load movement. Additional responsibilities include calculating load weight, selecting appropriate lifting equipment, securing loads properly, and ensuring safe positioning during lifting tasks. The rigger must also identify potential hazards around lifting areas and take preventive measures to avoid accidents or operational delays on site.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates applying for the Rigger Level III position must possess strong technical knowledge of rigging standards, lifting procedures, and industrial safety regulations. Experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial projects is highly preferred, especially for candidates familiar with Aramco-approved operations. The ability to read lifting plans, understand load calculations, and coordinate with crane operators is essential for this role. Candidates should also have strong communication skills, alertness, and the ability to work under pressure in demanding site conditions. Knowledge of lifting equipment inspection, safety protocols, and hazard control measures is important to ensure smooth and accident-free operations. Applicants with valid Aramco approval or previous project experience will have a strong advantage during the selection process.
