The Fire Watcher role is a critical safety position within industrial and construction environments where hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding are frequently performed. Key Responsibilities

They are also responsible for reporting unsafe conditions immediately to supervisors or safety officers and assisting in emergency response procedures if required. Maintaining clear communication with site teams and following all safety protocols is an important part of daily duties.
Skills and Knowledge
A qualified Fire Watcher must have strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of workplace safety practices, especially in industrial environments. Basic knowledge of fire prevention techniques, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures is essential for this role. Candidates with TUV certification or similar safety training are highly preferred, as it demonstrates professional competence and compliance with international safety standards. Experience in construction, refinery, or industrial shutdown projects is an added advantage. The ability to stay alert for long working hours, follow instructions carefully, and respond quickly during emergencies is highly important. Good communication skills are also required to coordinate effectively with supervisors and work teams on site.
