Pipe Fitters, Safety Officers, WPR & Riggers 3
Shutdown projects are an important part of Saudi Arabia’s industrial maintenance sector, requiring experienced manpower to complete inspection, repair, replacement, and maintenance work within strict project schedules. A new urgent manpower requirement has been announced for upcoming shutdown projects, with multiple skilled and safety-related positions available. The recruitment includes Pipe Fitters, Safety Officers, Work Permit Receivers (WPR), Fire Watchers, Mechanical Foremen, and Rigger Level 3 workers. Mobilization is planned for the second week of September, with work expected to continue through February or March.
Experienced Manpower Required for Shutdown Operations
Shutdown work is different from regular construction because large industrial facilities often have limited time to complete essential maintenance activities before operations resume. Workers are therefore expected to understand site procedures, work efficiently under pressure, and follow safety requirements throughout the assignment.
The current recruitment offers opportunities for candidates with genuine shutdown project experience. The company is particularly interested in manpower who can mobilize according to the planned schedule and contribute effectively to industrial maintenance activities.
Available Industrial Positions
Pipe Fitter
A total of 200 Pipe Fitters are required. Pipe Fitters support installation, dismantling, modification, alignment, and maintenance of industrial piping systems. Their work may involve reading drawings, preparing pipe sections, fitting components, and working with other mechanical trades during shutdown activities.
Safety Officer
The requirement includes 40 Safety Officers. These professionals help monitor site activities, identify unsafe conditions, conduct safety inspections, and promote compliance with workplace safety procedures. Strong industrial shutdown experience can be particularly valuable because maintenance activities often involve multiple work teams operating simultaneously.
Work Permit Receiver
70 WPRs are required to support controlled work activities. WPR personnel help coordinate permit requirements, understand work conditions, communicate with supervisors, and ensure that teams operate within approved work parameters.
Fire Watch
The recruitment includes 150 Fire Watch workers. Their primary responsibility is to monitor work areas where hot work or activities involving sparks and heat are taking place. They must remain alert, recognize potential fire hazards, and immediately report unsafe conditions.
Mechanical Foreman
A total of 30 Mechanical Foremen are required. Foremen supervise mechanical teams, coordinate daily work, monitor progress, and ensure assigned activities are completed according to project requirements and safety procedures.
Rigger Level 3
The requirement also includes 50 Rigger Level 3 workers. Riggers support lifting and material-handling operations by preparing loads, using suitable lifting equipment, communicating with lifting teams, and following safe lifting procedures.
