Description
Work Permit Receiver (WPR) and Rigger Level III positions are important technical roles in large-scale construction and oil & gas projects in Saudi Arabia. These positions are mainly required in Aramco-approved sites where strict safety, quality, and operational standards are followed. The main purpose of these jobs is to ensure that all site activities are carried out under proper authorization and safe working conditions. WPR manages permits and work approvals, while Rigger Level III handles lifting and rigging operations in coordination with cranes and site supervisors. Both roles play a key part in ensuring smooth project execution, reducing risks, and maintaining high productivity in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
The Work Permit Receiver is responsible for managing work permits, ensuring all safety requirements are completed before starting any task, and coordinating with the safety and engineering teams. They ensure that no hazardous activity begins without proper authorization. The Rigger Level III is responsible for safe lifting operations, inspection of rigging tools, preparing lifting plans, and guiding crane operators during heavy load movements. Both roles must follow strict safety regulations, report hazards, and ensure all operations are completed without delay or incident. These responsibilities require discipline, attention to detail, and strong teamwork on site.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have relevant experience in construction or industrial projects, especially in oil & gas environments. Knowledge of Aramco safety standards is highly preferred. WPR candidates should understand permit-to-work systems, risk assessment procedures, and site safety rules. Rigger Level III candidates must be skilled in rigging techniques, lifting gear inspection, and safe load handling. A valid Iqama, physical fitness, and ability to work under pressure are essential requirements. Good communication skills and previous GCC experience are added advantages for selection.
