Description
The Rigger TUV role is a highly important position within the construction and industrial project sector, especially in large-scale oil, gas, and infrastructure developments. This position is responsible for safely handling, moving, and securing heavy loads using lifting equipment and rigging tools in compliance with safety standards and project requirements. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all lifting activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and without risk to personnel or equipment. Riggers play a vital part in maintaining smooth workflow on-site, particularly in demanding environments like Jafurah project locations where precision and safety are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Rigger TUV will be responsible for performing safe lifting operations, including attaching loads using chains, slings, ropes, and other rigging equipment. The role requires proper inspection of lifting gear before and after use to ensure compliance with safety regulations. The rigger must coordinate closely with crane operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure accurate communication during lifting operations. Additionally, the worker will assist in loading and unloading heavy materials, positioning equipment as per instructions, and ensuring the worksite remains hazard-free. Maintaining discipline, following signals, and strictly adhering to site safety procedures are essential duties of this role.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have strong knowledge of rigging techniques, lifting procedures, and safety regulations used in construction and industrial environments. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, along with a valid 2-card holder certification, which demonstrates competency in rigging operations. The candidate should be physically fit, alert, and capable of working in challenging outdoor conditions. Good communication skills and the ability to understand technical instructions are also necessary. Familiarity with GCC project environments and safety standards will be considered an added advantage. The role demands responsibility, quick decision-making, and teamwork under pressure.
