Work Permit Receiver, Fire Watch, Standby Man & Helper
Role Purpose and Work Responsibilities
The Work Permit Receiver will be responsible for managing and verifying work permits before any job starts at site, ensuring all safety requirements and approvals are in place. Fire Watch personnel will monitor hot work activities such as welding and cutting to prevent fire hazards and ensure emergency readiness at all times. Standby Man workers will remain present during high-risk operations to provide immediate assistance in case of emergencies and ensure safety compliance. General Helpers will assist skilled workers in daily tasks such as material handling, site preparation, cleaning, and supporting different departments as required. All workers must strictly follow safety rules, supervisor instructions, and maintain discipline throughout project operations.
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
Applicants for the Work Permit Receiver position must have experience in industrial or oil & gas projects with strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems, safety procedures, and site coordination. Fire Watch candidates should be alert, responsible, and familiar with hazard monitoring and emergency response practices. Standby Man applicants must understand site safety requirements and be ready to act immediately during critical situations. Helpers should be physically fit and capable of performing manual labor tasks efficiently. Previous Gulf experience will be considered an advantage for all positions. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, discipline, and the ability to work under strict industrial safety environments.
