Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
The Safety Officer will be responsible for daily monitoring of site activities to ensure full compliance with approved safety procedures. This includes conducting regular inspections to identify unsafe conditions, reporting hazards, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented without delay.
The role also involves delivering toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions to workers regarding site hazards and proper use of PPE. The Safety Officer must investigate incidents, prepare detailed safety reports, and coordinate closely with supervisors and management teams to maintain a safe working environment.
In addition, strict adherence to SEC and SABIC safety standards must be maintained at all times. The officer must take immediate action in case of any unsafe practices or violations, ensuring risk-free operations throughout the project duration.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Candidates must have valid SEC and SABIC approval with proven experience in industrial or oil & gas projects in Saudi Arabia. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment procedures is essential.
Applicants should be capable of conducting site inspections, managing safety documentation, and handling emergency situations effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with diverse site teams are required.
All candidates must possess valid documents including IQAMA, Muqeem (minimum 3 months validity), insurance, medical fitness certificate, online chamber certificate, and CR documentation. Physical fitness, alertness, and strong decision-making ability are important for this role.
