Square Arabia Co. is urgently hiring experienced Safety Officers for a long-term project. Safety Officers play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and preventing accidents before they occur. This position is ideal for professionals with industrial project experience and a strong commitment to health and safety standards.
The selected candidates will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and workers to implement safety procedures, monitor site activities, and ensure that all operations comply with Marafiq safety requirements. Candidates must be capable of identifying workplace hazards and promoting a culture of safety throughout the project.
Main Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include conducting toolbox talks, inspecting work areas, identifying potential hazards, investigating incidents, and ensuring that workers use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
The selected candidates will also prepare safety reports, maintain safety documentation, coordinate with supervisors during high-risk activities, and provide guidance to employees on safe work practices. Maintaining compliance with industrial safety standards and supporting continuous improvement in workplace safety will be a key part of the role.
Required Skills and Professional Knowledge
Applicants must have valid Marafiq Safety Officer approval and relevant experience working on industrial projects. The profession mentioned on the Iqama must be Safety Technician or Safety Supervisor.
Candidates should possess excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response procedures, and incident reporting. Good communication skills, leadership ability, and experience working in industrial environments are highly preferred.
