Description
The purpose of these roles is to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations within the SABIC SAFCO plant environment. Electrical Supervisors will oversee electrical maintenance and installation activities, ensuring that all systems function according to engineering and safety standards. Electrical QA/QC professionals will be responsible for inspection, testing, and verification of electrical works to maintain quality compliance. Safety Officers will ensure that all site activities are conducted under strict HSE regulations, minimizing risk and preventing accidents. Work Permit Receivers will control and authorize work permits, ensuring that all jobs are executed legally and safely within plant procedures. These roles are essential for maintaining operational safety and production continuity in a high-risk industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Each professional will carry out duties based on their designated role with full responsibility and adherence to plant regulations. Electrical Supervisors will manage teams, supervise maintenance tasks, and ensure electrical systems are properly installed and maintained. Electrical QA/QC inspectors will conduct detailed inspections, prepare reports, and verify compliance with SAFCO technical standards. Safety Officers will monitor site conditions, conduct safety audits, enforce PPE usage, and ensure compliance with emergency protocols. Work Permit Receivers will review job requests, issue permits for hot work, cold work, and confined spaces, and coordinate with safety departments to ensure all activities are authorized. All personnel must ensure proper coordination between departments to avoid operational delays and maintain safe working conditions at all times.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must possess strong technical knowledge relevant to their respective roles, along with prior experience in petrochemical or industrial plant environments. Electrical Supervisors should have expertise in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and team leadership. QA/QC professionals must understand inspection procedures, electrical testing methods, and documentation standards. Safety Officers are required to have strong knowledge of industrial safety regulations, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures. Work Permit Receivers must be fully familiar with permit-to-work systems and plant authorization protocols. SAFCO-approved certification is mandatory for all positions, along with the ability to work under strict supervision, follow instructions, and maintain high safety discipline.
