Role Overview
The HSE Officer plays a vital role in maintaining safety and compliance across industrial and construction sites, particularly in high-standard projects like Aramco’s Marjan project. This position ensures that all operations adhere to rigorous health, safety, and environmental regulations, protecting both personnel and assets. By identifying risks, implementing preventive measures, and monitoring daily operations, the HSE Officer safeguards project continuity while minimizing accidents. Their work is crucial for promoting a safety-first culture and achieving operational excellence.
Primary Duties
HSE Officers are responsible for conducting comprehensive site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with established safety standards. They provide training to staff, monitor equipment usage, and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Investigating incidents, preparing safety reports, and coordinating emergency responses are also essential duties. The HSE Officer collaborates closely with contractors, site engineers, and management to implement corrective measures, maintain safety documentation, and support a zero-accident workplace culture.
Required Expertise
Successful candidates must have experience in industrial safety management, preferably with Aramco-approved projects. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures is essential. The role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to educate and guide team members on best safety practices.
