Key Responsibilities
A Permit Receiver is responsible for collecting, verifying, and implementing approved work permits before the commencement of any job activity. The individual must ensure that all safety precautions mentioned in the permit are clearly communicated to the workforce. Continuous monitoring of site conditions is essential to confirm that tasks remain within the approved scope of work. If unsafe conditions arise, the Permit Receiver has the authority to stop the job and report to supervisors or safety officers. Coordination with Fire Watch personnel and other safety representatives is also part of daily operations, especially during hot work activities. Proper documentation, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring that work areas are restored safely after task completion are key responsibilities.
