Safety Officer SBM (TUV) Fire Watch (TUV) Pipe Fitter
Description
The Jubail Sasref Plant has announced an urgent requirement for skilled personnel across multiple technical and safety roles during the upcoming plant shutdown. These positions are vital to ensure smooth operations, maintain safety standards, and execute project tasks efficiently. Roles such as Safety Officers, SBM (Scaffolding/Mechanical), Fire Watch personnel, and Pipe Fitters are essential in large-scale industrial shutdowns where precision, safety, and coordination are paramount. Personnel with prior live plant and shutdown experience, preferably Sasref approved, are highly sought after to minimize risk, avoid delays, and maintain operational continuity. These roles significantly contribute to the overall safety culture and operational efficiency of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Officers will monitor all safety practices on-site, enforce compliance with regulations, and ensure that safety procedures are followed rigorously. SBM (TUV certified) staff are responsible for scaffolding and mechanical support, ensuring secure access to work areas and safe equipment handling. Fire Watch personnel will maintain vigilance for fire hazards, implement emergency protocols, and coordinate with site supervisors to prevent accidents. Pipe Fitters are tasked with assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems, ensuring that all connections meet technical specifications and industry standards. All team members are expected to report hazards promptly, work collaboratively with supervisors, and follow project schedules to ensure the shutdown runs smoothly and safely.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have prior live plant or shutdown experience, demonstrating an understanding of industrial operational safety and emergency protocols. Relevant certifications such as TUV for SBM and Fire Watch are highly preferred. Safety Officers must have in-depth knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures. Pipe Fitters should have technical expertise in piping systems, welding, and installation techniques. All personnel must demonstrate physical fitness, alertness, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
