Safety Supervisor (10 Nos)

Position Description

Offshore safety roles are among the most critical positions in the oil and gas industry. A Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all operations follow strict health, safety, and environmental regulations, especially in high-risk offshore environments. These professionals help maintain a safe workplace by identifying hazards, implementing safety procedures, and ensuring that workers comply with safety standards during daily operations.

In Saudi Arabia, offshore projects in areas such as Safaniya require experienced safety professionals who understand the complex safety requirements of marine and subsea operations. Offshore facilities involve heavy equipment, confined spaces, and hazardous materials, making safety supervision extremely important.

Safety supervisors working on offshore Aramco projects must have strong knowledge of international safety standards and practical experience managing safety systems. Their responsibilities include supervising workers, monitoring operational risks, and ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

A Safety Supervisor is responsible for monitoring all work activities and ensuring that safety procedures are followed throughout the project. They conduct routine inspections of the workplace, identify potential hazards, and implement preventive measures to avoid accidents or injuries.

They also supervise workers to ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used properly and that safety instructions are followed. Safety supervisors regularly conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings to educate workers about workplace risks and safe working practices.

Another important responsibility is maintaining safety documentation and reporting incidents or safety concerns to project management. They work closely with engineers, supervisors, and safety teams to ensure that all operations comply with offshore safety regulations and Aramco standards.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

Candidates applying for Safety Supervisor positions must have extensive experience in occupational health and safety within the oil and gas industry. A minimum of 8 years of experience in Saudi Arabia is required, particularly in offshore environments.

Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH membership, BOSIET, H2S, BLS, and First Aid training are essential for offshore safety roles. These certifications demonstrate the candidate’s ability to manage safety risks in challenging industrial environments.

Applicants should also have strong leadership and communication skills because they will supervise teams and coordinate with multiple departments during project operations. Previous Aramco approval for offshore projects is highly preferred.
