The Kuwait Shutdown Project offers a unique opportunity for skilled and semi-skilled professionals across various disciplines to contribute to a large-scale industrial and shipbuilding initiative. This project, conducted by Heavy Engineering Industries & Shipbuilding Co. K.S.C (Public), is an 11-month shutdown operation aimed at maintenance, fabrication, and operational efficiency enhancement of heavy industrial and maritime facilities. Each role within the project holds a crucial place, ensuring smooth execution, safety compliance, and operational excellence. From technical positions such as AC Technicians and Mechanical Engineers to support roles like Office Boys and Helpers, the project requires dedicated individuals committed to high standards and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of each position vary according to expertise and role. AC Technicians ensure the proper installation and maintenance of cooling systems, while Electricians handle wiring and electrical system troubleshooting. Fabricators, Pipe Fabricators, and Pipe Fitters are responsible for metalwork, pipeline construction, and structural assembly. Safety Officers and HSE Officers maintain strict adherence to occupational safety standards. Skilled operators such as Crane Operators, Excavator Operators, Forklift Operators, and Loader Operators manage heavy machinery with precision. Welders – including TIG, MIG, and multi-position welders – perform high-quality joining of metals. Office Boys, Store Keepers, and Time Keepers maintain administrative and logistical support. General helpers, painters, masons, carpenters, and plumbers assist in day-to-day operational tasks. All team members must contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive working environment.
Skills and Knowledge
Successful candidates are expected to possess relevant technical skills, hands-on experience, and educational qualifications for their respective roles. Mechanical Engineers should have strong engineering knowledge and problem-solving abilities, whereas Pipe Fitters and Fabricators require expertise in welding, measuring, and structural assembly. Safety-critical positions demand awareness of OSHA or equivalent safety protocols. Operators must demonstrate experience handling heavy machinery safely. Additionally, administrative and support staff should exhibit organizational skills, reliability, and familiarity with workplace procedures. Freshers and experienced professionals aged between 23 to 55 are eligible to apply, provided they hold valid passports (ECR & ECNR) and meet the specific skill requirements. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to follow detailed instructions are essential across all positions.
