Atlas Al Khair General Contracting Est. is currently hiring experienced Safety Officers for an ongoing long-term industrial project in Jafurah, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is designed for professionals who have strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in construction and industrial environments. The Safety Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that all site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
The selected Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing all site safety procedures in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented immediately. The officer must ensure that all workers comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and follow safe working practices at all times. Regular toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions must be conducted to educate workers about risk prevention and emergency response procedures. The role also includes investigating incidents, preparing detailed safety reports, and recommending preventive measures to avoid future occurrences. Coordination with supervisors and project management teams is essential to ensure that all construction activities are performed safely without delays or violations.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or industrial safety roles, preferably within Gulf countries. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and site safety management systems is required. Candidates must hold valid certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA, which are mandatory for this position. The ability to conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions is essential. Strong communication skills are required to effectively train workers and coordinate with site teams.
