This job opportunity is part of a long-term industrial maintenance project based in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia, where skilled manpower is urgently required to support ongoing site operations. The role of WPR (Work Permit Receiver) is highly critical in Aramco-approved projects, as it ensures that all work activities are carried out under strict permit-to-work systems. The main purpose of this position is to maintain safety compliance, control operational risks, and ensure that all site activities are executed according to approved procedures. In large oil and gas facilities, permit receivers act as a bridge between workers and safety management, ensuring that every task is authorized, documented, and safe to perform. This role is essential for preventing accidents, maintaining workflow discipline, and supporting uninterrupted industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling work permits in accordance with Aramco safety standards and company regulations. The WPR must verify job site conditions before issuing or receiving permits and ensure that all safety precautions are properly implemented. Coordination with supervisors, safety officers, and operational teams is required to confirm that all hazards are identified and controlled before work begins. The role also includes monitoring ongoing activities to ensure compliance with approved permit conditions and stopping work immediately if unsafe situations arise. In addition, the WPR is responsible for maintaining accurate records of permits, preparing documentation for audits, and ensuring clear communication between all departments involved in site operations.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have strong knowledge of industrial safety systems, particularly Aramco permit-to-work procedures. Prior experience in oil and gas shutdown or maintenance projects is highly preferred. Applicants should understand hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety control measures used in industrial environments. Good communication skills are essential to coordinate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and safety teams.
