Main Duties & Responsibilities

Selected Safety Officers may conduct routine workplace inspections, observe ongoing construction and industrial activities, and identify potential hazards before work continues. They may participate in toolbox meetings, communicate safety instructions to workers, monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment, and support risk-control measures. The role can also involve reporting unsafe conditions, following up on corrective actions, maintaining safety-related records, and coordinating with supervisors when changes in site conditions require additional precautions.
