Description
The Rigger Level 2 position plays a vital role in construction, oil & gas, and industrial projects, especially in large-scale operations such as Aramco projects. This role is responsible for assisting in lifting, moving, and securing heavy loads using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment. The purpose of this job is to ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to approved engineering and safety standards. In high-risk environments like Riyas NGL, the Rigger Level 2 is essential for maintaining operational safety and smooth workflow across project sites.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of a Rigger Level 2 include preparing and inspecting rigging equipment before lifting operations, attaching loads securely, and guiding crane operators during lifting activities. The rigger must ensure all slings, shackles, and hooks are properly used according to load requirements. They are also responsible for checking load weights, maintaining clear communication signals, and ensuring that all lifting activities comply with safety procedures. Additionally, the rigger supports the team in positioning heavy materials accurately at designated locations while minimizing risks of accidents or equipment damage on site.
Skills and Knowledge
A qualified Rigger Level 2 must have strong knowledge of lifting techniques, load calculation, and rigging safety standards. Experience in oil & gas or industrial construction projects is highly preferred, especially in Aramco-approved environments. The candidate should be physically fit, attentive, and capable of working in demanding site conditions. Understanding of hand signals, lifting plans, and hazard identification is essential. Certification in rigging level 2 and awareness of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines are mandatory to ensure safe execution of all lifting operations on site.
