Job Role Overview & Importance
The Safety Officer position in large industrial projects such as those managed by Saudi Aramco plays a critical role in maintaining workplace safety, reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with strict operational standards. Safety Officers are responsible for monitoring all site activities, identifying hazards, and ensuring that workers follow approved safety procedures at all times. In high-risk environments like the Riyas project, their presence ensures accident prevention, smooth workflow, and regulatory compliance across all construction and maintenance operations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The selected Safety Officers will be responsible for conducting daily site inspections and ensuring that all activities comply with safety regulations and company standards. Duties include monitoring workers, checking safety equipment, ensuring proper use of PPE, and stopping unsafe work practices immediately when required. Safety Officers will also conduct toolbox talks, prepare safety reports, and coordinate with supervisors to implement corrective actions. Maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with project safety policies will be an essential part of the role. Strong observation skills and quick decision-making are required to manage high-risk situations effectively.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must be Aramco-approved Safety Officers with proven experience in industrial or construction site safety management.
