Job Role Overview & Importance
Pipe Fitters play a crucial role in industrial construction and maintenance projects, especially in energy sectors managed by companies such as Saudi Aramco. Their primary responsibility is to install, assemble, and maintain piping systems that carry liquids, gases, and chemicals across industrial facilities. In large-scale projects like Jubail, precision and safety are extremely important, as even minor errors can affect plant operations. Pipe fitters ensure that all piping work is completed according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and safety regulations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for cutting, threading, and assembling pipes according to project requirements. Daily tasks include reading technical drawings, measuring and aligning pipes, installing supports, and ensuring all connections are properly secured and leak-free. Pipe fitters must also coordinate with welders and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and accurate installation. They are expected to follow safety procedures at all times, inspect materials before use, and ensure that all completed work meets quality standards. Proper handling of tools and adherence to site instructions are essential for this role.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must have previous experience as pipe fitters in industrial or construction environments, preferably in oil and gas projects. Candidates with Aramco vendor code approval will be given priority as it is mandatory for this role. A valid passport and iqama are required for eligibility. Applicants must also provide Muqeem records, chamber certificates, and medical fitness reports. Strong technical knowledge, ability to read drawings, and experience working in team environments are essential. Candidates must be physically fit and capable of working in demanding site conditions.
