Draftsman roles are highly important in modern construction and engineering projects, especially in large-scale developments such as hotels and high-rise buildings across Saudi Arabia. Ocean Scale Contracting Company is currently seeking experienced drafting professionals to support ongoing long-term projects in Madinah. The main purpose of these positions is to convert engineering concepts, designs, and specifications into accurate technical drawings that guide on-site construction activities. Draftsmen play a key role in ensuring that all construction work follows precise design standards and approved project requirements.
In the construction industry, accurate drawings are the foundation of successful project execution. Any minor error in design documentation can lead to costly delays or structural issues. Key Responsibilities
Draftsmen will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings based on project specifications, engineering sketches, and design inputs. Civil Draftsmen will focus on structural layouts, reinforcement drawings, and site coordination plans. Architectural Draftsmen will develop building layouts, floor plans, elevations, and finishing details in accordance with design requirements. Mechanical Draftsmen will prepare HVAC layouts, piping diagrams, and equipment installation drawings, ensuring proper system integration within the building structure.
Electrical Draftsmen will handle wiring layouts, power distribution drawings, lighting plans, and system schematics, ensuring compliance with electrical standards and safety requirements. Low Current Draftsmen will prepare drawings for communication systems, fire alarms, security systems, and other specialized installations. All draftsmen are expected to coordinate closely with engineers, consultants, and project teams to ensure accuracy, timely revisions, and proper documentation control throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must possess strong technical drafting skills along with proven experience in hotel or high-rise building construction projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software is essential for producing accurate and detailed drawings. Applicants should have a solid understanding of engineering principles related to their respective disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, or low current systems.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings are highly required. Experience working in Saudi Arabia or Gulf countries will be considered an advantage. Candidates must also demonstrate good communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines in fast-paced construction environments.
