Job Responsibilities & Daily Duties
A Fire Watch is responsible for monitoring hot work activities such as welding, cutting, grinding, and other operations that may create fire hazards. The role includes inspecting work areas before and after hot work, ensuring fire extinguishers and emergency equipment are readily available, identifying potential fire risks, maintaining continuous observation during work activities, and responding quickly to emergencies if required. Fire Watch personnel also ensure compliance with company safety procedures and assist in creating a safe working environment for all employees on site.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have previous SABIC site experience, as this is a mandatory requirement for the position. Candidates should possess good knowledge of industrial safety practices, fire prevention procedures, hazard identification, and emergency response techniques.
