🔹 Job Overview
The Fire Watch position is a vital safety role in oil & gas industrial operations, especially in high-risk working environments such as Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This job is responsible for ensuring fire safety during hazardous activities like welding, cutting, and other hot work operations. The Fire Watch personnel act as a safety guard, continuously monitoring the workplace to prevent fire incidents and protect both workers and equipment. 🔹 Role Summary
This role focuses on maintaining a safe working environment by identifying fire hazards and responding quickly to any emergency situations. The Fire Watch ensures that all safety procedures are followed before, during, and after hot work activities. The job requires constant alertness and attention to detail, as even a small mistake in industrial areas can lead to serious accidents. The purpose of this position is to minimize risks, support safe work practices, and ensure that all operations are conducted under approved safety standards.
🔹 Core Duties
The Fire Watch is responsible for monitoring all hot work activities and ensuring that no unsafe conditions develop during operations. This includes checking the work area for potential fire risks, ensuring fire extinguishers and safety equipment are properly placed, and maintaining continuous observation throughout the job. The worker must immediately report any signs of smoke, sparks, or danger to the supervisor. After work completion, the Fire Watch continues to monitor the area for a certain period to ensure no fire risk remains. Proper communication with site safety teams is also an important part of daily duties.
🔹 Required Skills & Experience
Applicants should have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and basic fire prevention techniques. Experience in oil & gas plant environments is highly preferred, especially in roles involving room-to-room duty. The candidate must be physically fit, alert, and capable of working in high-pressure situations. Basic communication skills and the ability to follow safety instructions are necessary. Familiarity with emergency response tools and fire safety equipment is an added advantage. A valid IQAMA, Chamber registration, and submission of original passport are mandatory requirements for this position.
