Job Description
A Fire Watcher is responsible for monitoring work areas where hot work activities are being performed and ensuring that fire hazards are controlled at all times. The role involves maintaining constant vigilance, identifying unsafe conditions, and supporting the site’s overall safety program. Fire Watchers play an important role in preventing workplace incidents and protecting personnel, equipment, and project assets.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will monitor hot work activities, inspect work areas before and after operations, ensure firefighting equipment is available and ready for use, and immediately report any unsafe conditions. Responsibilities also include maintaining communication with supervisors, enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with project safety requirements. Fire Watchers must remain alert throughout their shifts and take prompt action whenever potential fire risks are identified.
