Description
The Industrial Maintenance & Rigging Technician role is a critical position within heavy industrial and construction environments. The purpose of this job is to ensure smooth mechanical operations, safe lifting activities, and proper installation or maintenance of industrial machinery. Millwright Technicians are responsible for precision alignment, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, while Riggers ensure safe lifting and movement of heavy equipment using proper rigging techniques. This role is highly important in maintaining safety, efficiency, and productivity on large-scale projects in Saudi Arabia’s growing industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for performing mechanical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy industrial equipment. Millwright Technicians will handle machine alignment, assembly, dismantling, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure smooth plant operations. Riggers will execute safe lifting operations using cranes, slings, and lifting gear while strictly following safety protocols. All workers must ensure compliance with site safety standards, follow supervisor instructions, and maintain proper documentation of work activities. Team coordination and adherence to deadlines are essential parts of daily responsibilities.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems, industrial tools, and rigging procedures. Millwright Technicians should be experienced in reading technical drawings, equipment alignment, and machinery troubleshooting. Riggers must hold valid TUV certification (Rigger Level 2 or Level 3) with proven knowledge of lifting plans and safety practices. Basic communication skills, physical fitness, and the ability to work in high-pressure industrial environments are required. Previous Gulf experience will be considered an added advantage for selection.
