Description
The Rigger III (Aramco Approved) position is a critical role within heavy industrial and construction projects, particularly in oil and gas operations. This job involves assisting in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials, machinery, and structural components using rigging equipment and lifting tools. The role ensures that all lifting activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with strict Aramco and site safety standards. Riggers play a key part in maintaining workflow continuity on-site, especially in high-risk environments such as refineries, petrochemical plants, and large-scale construction projects in Saudi Arabia.
This position requires disciplined workers who understand the importance of safety procedures, teamwork, and precision. The Rigger III supports senior rigging staff and crane operators by preparing loads, inspecting equipment, and ensuring proper signaling during lifting operations. Their contribution directly impacts project safety, productivity, and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
The Rigger III is responsible for preparing and securing loads before lifting operations begin. This includes selecting appropriate slings, shackles, and lifting gear based on load weight and shape. The role also involves assisting in the movement of heavy equipment under the supervision of senior riggers or supervisors. Proper communication with crane operators through standard hand signals or radio instructions is a vital part of the job.
In addition, the rigger must inspect all rigging equipment before use to ensure it is in safe working condition. Any damaged or defective tools must be reported immediately. The worker is also expected to follow site safety regulations strictly and ensure that all lifting activities are performed without risk to personnel or equipment.
Skills and Knowledge
A successful Rigger III must have strong knowledge of basic rigging techniques, load calculations, and lifting safety procedures. Previous experience in industrial or construction environments is highly preferred, especially in oil and gas projects. Candidates should be physically fit and capable of working in challenging outdoor conditions, including high temperatures and demanding site environments.
Good communication skills are essential, as the job requires coordination with crane operators, supervisors, and other team members.
