The Rigger Level 1 (Sharq Approved) is a highly skilled site-based role responsible for executing safe lifting and rigging operations in industrial shutdown environments. This position plays a critical part in supporting construction, maintenance, and turnaround activities within oil, gas, and petrochemical projects. In regions like Al Sharq, where large-scale industrial shutdowns demand precision and safety compliance, riggers ensure that all lifting tasks are performed according to approved procedures and international safety standards. The role is essential for preventing accidents, protecting equipment, and ensuring smooth workflow during critical project timelines. Key Responsibilities
The primary duties of a Rigger Level 1 include preparing, inspecting, and handling lifting gear such as slings, shackles, hooks, and chains before any lifting operation. The rigger must ensure that all equipment is certified, in good condition, and properly secured before use. They are responsible for assisting crane operators in positioning loads safely and accurately, using standard hand signals and communication methods. Skills and Knowledge
