Description
The Rigger Level 3 position is a highly responsible technical role in the construction and oil & gas industry. The primary purpose of this job is to handle rigging activities such as lifting, moving, and securing heavy loads using cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment. In large industrial projects like those in Jizan, riggers ensure that all operations are conducted safely without causing damage to equipment or risk to human life. This role is extremely important because improper rigging can lead to serious accidents and operational delays. Therefore, only trained and certified riggers with Aramco experience are preferred for this position.
Key Responsibilities
The selected riggers will be responsible for preparing and inspecting rigging equipment before each lifting operation. They must safely attach loads using slings, chains, and other lifting accessories according to standard procedures. Coordinating with crane operators and site supervisors is also a key part of the job to ensure smooth and safe lifting operations. Additionally, riggers are required to follow lifting plans, identify hazards at the worksite, and ensure that all safety protocols are strictly maintained. They must also assist in positioning heavy equipment accurately and report any damaged tools or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have strong practical knowledge of rigging techniques, lifting gear inspection, and safe load handling practices. Experience in ARAMCO projects is highly preferred, as it ensures familiarity with strict safety and operational standards. Candidates should be physically fit, alert, and capable of working in high-pressure industrial environments. Understanding of basic hand signals used in crane operations and teamwork coordination is essential. Certification in rigging (Level 3) is required along with knowledge of safety regulations followed in the oil & gas sector. Previous Gulf experience will be considered an added advantage for this role.
