Description
The positions of Scaffolders and Riggers are urgently required for a major Aramco vendor shutdown project in Ras Tanura. These roles are highly important in the oil & gas and industrial construction sector, where safe lifting operations and secure working platforms are essential for daily activities. Scaffolders are responsible for assembling and dismantling temporary structures that allow workers to perform tasks at height safely, while riggers handle the movement, lifting, and positioning of heavy materials and equipment. Both roles contribute directly to maintaining safety, efficiency, and continuity of operations during shutdown maintenance projects, where precision and speed are critical to meet strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Scaffolders are responsible for erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures according to safety standards and engineering drawings. They must ensure that all platforms are stable, secure, and suitable for workers operating at different heights. Riggers are tasked with attaching loads, selecting proper lifting gear, and guiding crane operations to safely move heavy equipment. Both roles require coordination with supervisors and crane operators, ensuring that lifting and access operations are completed without accidents. Workers must also inspect tools and equipment daily, follow safety protocols, and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment at all times.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have strong physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging industrial environments, especially during shutdown operations where workload intensity is high. Scaffolders should have knowledge of scaffolding techniques, load-bearing calculations, and safety procedures for working at height. Riggers must understand lifting plans, signal communication, and load handling techniques. Experience with Aramco projects or vendor-approved sites will be considered highly valuable. Applicants should also be familiar with safety documentation, toolbox talks, and site compliance requirements. Valid documents such as Iqama, Muqeem, and passport with minimum validity are mandatory, along with insurance and Aramco vendor requirements where applicable.
