Role Overview and Industry Importance
Safety Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with project safety standards and regulations. In large-scale oil and gas projects such as Jafurah, safety management is a top priority due to the complex nature of site operations. The Safety Officer plays a vital role in identifying hazards, implementing preventive measures, and promoting a strong safety culture among all personnel working on the project.
Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
The selected Safety Officers will be responsible for conducting daily site inspections, monitoring work activities, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with Aramco safety requirements. Additional duties include conducting toolbox talks, preparing safety reports, investigating incidents, verifying work permits, and ensuring that all employees follow approved safety procedures. Candidates will work closely with project management and site teams to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Applicants must be Aramco Approved Safety Officers with relevant industrial or oil and gas project experience. Preference will be given to candidates with previous SAIPAM project experience, particularly those holding a SAIPAM Experience Card. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment procedures, emergency response planning, and workplace hazard control is essential. Candidates must also possess a valid Vendor Code and Chamber Certificate for project approval and mobilization.
