Role Overview and Career Importance
A Safety Officer plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment on industrial and construction sites. The position involves implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, conducting safety inspections, identifying workplace hazards, and ensuring full compliance with Aramco safety regulations. Safety Officers work closely with project managers, supervisors, and employees to reduce workplace risks, prevent accidents, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities and Required Skills
The selected Safety Officer will conduct daily site inspections, perform risk assessments, monitor work permits, organize toolbox talks, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), investigate incidents, and prepare HSE reports. The role also includes ensuring compliance with Aramco standards, monitoring emergency preparedness, and providing safety guidance to project teams. Candidates should possess excellent knowledge of industrial safety regulations, hazard identification, accident prevention, emergency response procedures, and HSE management systems. Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
Qualifications, Experience, and Professional Knowledge
Applicants must be Aramco Certified Safety Officers with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably on Aramco or large-scale oil & gas projects. Candidates should have a strong understanding of Aramco HSE requirements, safety audits, permit-to-work systems, and workplace risk management. Previous experience in industrial construction, refinery, or petrochemical projects will be considered an advantage.
