Job Role Overview & Importance
A Safety Officer plays a critical role in ensuring workplace safety, health compliance, and risk control across industrial project sites. In mining and heavy industrial environments like MA’ADEN projects, safety standards are extremely strict due to the nature of operations. Safety Officers are responsible for implementing safety procedures, preventing accidents, and ensuring all workers follow approved safety guidelines. Their role is essential in maintaining a safe working environment and avoiding operational disruptions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The selected Safety Officers will be responsible for monitoring site activities and ensuring full compliance with MA’ADEN safety standards. This includes conducting regular inspections, identifying hazards, and taking immediate corrective actions when necessary. They will also conduct toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and ensure that all workers are using proper PPE at all times. Maintaining safety reports, incident records, and compliance documentation is also part of the job. Coordination with supervisors and management is essential for smooth and safe project operations.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must have valid MA’ADEN approval and experience working in industrial or mining safety environments. Candidates should have strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures. A valid safety card is required.
