The positions of Safety Officer and Safety Supervisor are essential in protecting workers, equipment, and project operations during industrial shutdown activities. Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for monitoring worksite safety conditions and ensuring compliance with industrial safety procedures. Daily tasks include conducting toolbox talks, inspecting work permits, identifying workplace hazards, and ensuring workers use proper personal protective equipment. Safety Officers will monitor field activities and report unsafe conditions immediately, while Safety Supervisors will coordinate safety teams, prepare reports, and oversee implementation of shutdown safety plans. They will also communicate with project managers, contractors, and site engineers to ensure all work activities are completed safely and according to project requirements. Maintaining accurate records and responding quickly to emergencies are also important responsibilities for both positions.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants should possess previous experience in industrial shutdown projects, construction sites, or power plant environments. Strong knowledge of workplace safety procedures, hazard control methods, and emergency response systems is required.
