Safety Officer & WPR ( Rate 26 ) Jobs
Description
The industrial and construction sector in Saudi Arabia continues to grow rapidly, creating strong demand for qualified safety professionals who can support large-scale projects in compliance with strict safety regulations. Safety Officers play a critical role in ensuring that all site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved standards. In major industrial hubs such as Jubail, companies require experienced and approved safety personnel to manage risk, prevent accidents, and maintain a safe working environment. A new urgent recruitment drive has been announced for Maden Approved Safety Officers and WPR positions under Resource Revenue Cont. Est., offering immediate employment opportunities for qualified candidates.
These roles are essential for maintaining workplace safety and ensuring compliance with industrial regulations across oil, gas, and construction projects. Candidates selected for these positions will be part of a professional workforce responsible for protecting workers, equipment, and operational integrity throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Selected Safety Officers will be responsible for monitoring daily site activities, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all operations comply with Maden and company safety standards. They will identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment. Safety Officers are also required to conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions to promote awareness among workers.
Work Permit Receivers (WPR) will be responsible for managing and verifying work permits before any task is carried out on site. They will coordinate with supervisors and safety teams to ensure that all activities are authorized and performed under approved safety conditions. WPR personnel will also monitor ongoing operations, maintain permit documentation, and ensure compliance with project requirements at all times.
Both roles require close coordination with engineering teams, supervisors, and workers to ensure smooth workflow and strict adherence to safety procedures. Maintaining discipline, accurate reporting, and proactive hazard prevention are key expectations for all selected candidates.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must possess relevant industrial experience in safety or permit management roles, preferably in oil, gas, or construction environments. Safety Officers should have strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and emergency response procedures. Candidates must be capable of handling site inspections, incident reporting, and compliance monitoring effectively.
WPR candidates should have a clear understanding of permit-to-work systems, hazard identification, and coordination procedures within industrial sites. Both positions require strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Maden approval is mandatory for all applicants.
Candidates must also demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to maintaining high safety standards throughout project execution. Experience in Saudi industrial projects, particularly in Jubail or similar regions, will be considered an added advantage.
