This job category falls under industrial construction and maintenance services, focusing on supporting critical shutdown activities in oil and gas facilities. The main purpose of these roles is to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of maintenance, fabrication, insulation, scaffolding, and lifting operations. Workers will contribute directly to operational safety and plant reliability, which are essential in high-risk industrial environments. The importance of this role lies in maintaining infrastructure integrity while following strict safety and quality standards. All selected candidates will work under supervision and must strictly follow site regulations and safety protocols. This is a physically demanding job that requires discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-based environment under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Employees will be assigned duties based on their trade category and project requirements. Scaffolders will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures safely according to site drawings and safety rules. Insulation Foremen will supervise insulation teams, ensuring correct installation of thermal and acoustic materials. Riggers (Level 3) will handle lifting and moving heavy equipment using approved rigging techniques while maintaining strict safety compliance. Work Permit Receivers (WPR) will manage permit-to-work systems, ensuring all safety approvals and hazard controls are properly in place before work begins. All workers must maintain proper housekeeping, report unsafe conditions, and ensure compliance with industrial safety standards at all times. Coordination with supervisors and teamwork is essential for smooth project execution.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must possess strong knowledge of industrial construction procedures and safety regulations. Experience in Aramco projects or similar oil and gas environments is highly preferred, especially for technical roles. Scaffolders should understand structural stability and TUV certification standards. Riggers must be trained in safe lifting operations and load handling techniques. WPR candidates must have knowledge of permit-to-work systems and hazard identification processes. All applicants should be physically fit, capable of working in extreme weather conditions, and able to perform manual labor efficiently. Basic communication skills in English or Arabic are beneficial for coordination on site. A strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and safety awareness is mandatory for all positions.
