Description
The Welder and Helper positions play an essential role in supporting large-scale industrial and construction projects in Saudi Arabia, especially within government-approved sites in Jubail. These roles are vital for maintaining project progress, ensuring structural quality, and supporting skilled technicians in day-to-day fabrication and installation activities. Welders, particularly those certified in 3G and 4G TUV standards, are responsible for high-quality welding work that meets strict safety and engineering requirements. Meanwhile, Helpers provide necessary assistance in handling tools, materials, and site preparation tasks, ensuring smooth workflow across the project.
In the construction and industrial sector, both positions contribute significantly to productivity and safety. Skilled welders ensure that metal structures, pipelines, and mechanical systems are properly joined and secured, while helpers support by preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the worksite. These roles are in high demand due to rapid industrial development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly in regions like Jubail where major projects are continuously underway.
Key Responsibilities
Welders are responsible for performing precise welding operations using 3G and 4G techniques in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. They must interpret technical drawings, select appropriate welding methods, and ensure that all joints are strong, clean, and defect-free. They are also required to inspect completed work, maintain welding equipment, and follow strict safety procedures at all times to avoid workplace hazards.
Helpers support welders and other skilled workers by carrying tools, preparing materials, and assisting in assembly and installation tasks. They help in loading and unloading materials, maintaining cleanliness of the worksite, and ensuring that tools and equipment are properly arranged. Their role is crucial in improving efficiency and reducing downtime on site, allowing skilled workers to focus on technical tasks without interruption.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates applying for the Welder position must have proven experience in 3G and 4G welding techniques along with TUV certification. A strong understanding of welding symbols, fabrication processes, and industrial safety standards is required. Physical fitness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments are essential for success in this role. Prior experience in government or industrial projects is highly preferred.
For Helper positions, basic knowledge of construction site operations is beneficial, along with physical strength and the ability to follow instructions accurately. No advanced qualifications are required, but candidates should be hardworking, reliable, and willing to assist skilled workers in various tasks. Experience in industrial or construction environments will be an added advantage.
