Description
The available positions are part of a planned shutdown project that supports maintenance, inspection, and upgrade activities within a major petrochemical complex. The purpose of these roles is to ensure all instrumentation systems, engineering requirements, and permit processes are executed accurately and safely. Instrument technicians and supervisors will handle calibration, troubleshooting, and system checks, while project engineers will coordinate technical execution. Work Permit Receivers (WPR) will ensure that all job activities are carried out under approved safety permits. These roles are vital for minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency in high-risk industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for executing assigned duties according to shutdown schedules and technical requirements. Instrument Technicians will perform installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of control systems and field instruments. Instrument Supervisors will oversee teams, ensure compliance with procedures, and manage daily technical progress. Project Engineers will plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering activities while ensuring alignment with project standards. Work Permit Receivers will manage permit-to-work systems, ensuring all safety documentation and site approvals are in place before work begins. All staff must strictly follow safety protocols and report any hazards or deviations immediately.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must possess relevant technical qualifications and proven experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical shutdown projects. Instrument Technicians should have strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and field instrumentation. Supervisors must demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to manage teams under pressure. Project Engineers require engineering degrees and experience in industrial project execution and planning. WPR candidates must be fully trained in permit-to-work systems and safety compliance procedures. Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and adherence to safety standards are essential for all roles.
