📌 JOB SUMMARY
This position is part of a high-standard Aramco-approved project in the industrial sector, mainly focusing on safe lifting operations and controlled work execution through permit systems. The Rigger and Work Permit Receiver (WPR) ensure that all site activities are carried out safely, following strict Aramco procedures. This role is essential in oil & gas and construction environments where heavy lifting and hazardous operations require full safety control and supervision. The job is based in Ras Tanura with immediate mobilization for a short-term project of 3 months.
🛠 ROLE PURPOSE
The main purpose of this job is to maintain safe working conditions during rigging and lifting activities while ensuring that all work is authorized through valid permits. The Rigger handles physical lifting operations, while the WPR manages documentation and site safety coordination. Together, they help reduce risks, prevent accidents, and ensure smooth execution of project activities. This role directly supports operational safety, productivity, and compliance with Aramco safety standards on-site.
⚙️ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidates will be responsible for performing safe rigging activities, including attaching and securing loads using approved lifting equipment. They must inspect all tools and equipment before use to ensure they are in good condition. The Work Permit Receiver will verify permits, confirm job site readiness, and ensure all safety requirements are met before starting any task. Continuous monitoring of site conditions, communication with supervisors, and stopping unsafe work practices are part of the daily responsibilities. Reporting hazards and ensuring proper coordination with the safety team is also essential.
📚 REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have proven experience in rigging operations or permit-to-work systems in industrial environments. Knowledge of Aramco safety standards is highly preferred. Riggers should understand lifting techniques, load handling, and equipment safety. WPR candidates must be familiar with work permits, hazard identification, and site coordination. Good communication skills, discipline, and the ability to work under pressure are required. Physical fitness and readiness for field duties are important for this role. Safety certification or Aramco approval will be considered a strong advantage.
