The Safety Officer position in Jafurah represents a critical role within large-scale plant projects and structural construction environments, particularly those operating under strict Aramco safety standards. This job is designed to ensure that all site activities are conducted in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. In high-risk industrial settings such as oil and gas projects, the Safety Officer acts as the frontline guardian of worker safety, hazard prevention, and regulatory compliance. The importance of this role cannot be overstated, as it directly contributes to reducing workplace incidents, protecting human life, and maintaining uninterrupted project progress. Candidates selected for this position will be part of a highly disciplined workforce engaged in structural and plant development activities in the Jafurah region, one of the key energy development zones in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring daily site activities and ensuring that all workers follow established safety procedures and Aramco-approved standards. This includes conducting regular safety inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions immediately when risks are detected. The role involves conducting toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions to educate workers about site-specific risks and preventive measures. The Safety Officer must also ensure that all personnel use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and that safety signage and barriers are properly maintained. Reporting unsafe conditions, preparing safety documentation, and coordinating with project engineers and supervisors are essential parts of the job. In addition, the officer will assist in emergency preparedness planning and ensure quick response procedures are in place for any incident.
Skills and Knowledge
