Job Role Overview & Importance
The Heavy Driver (Bus Driver) position is essential for transporting workers safely and efficiently between residential camps and project sites. In industrial zones such as Jubail, companies like Saudi Aramco and other contractors rely heavily on skilled drivers to maintain punctual workforce movement and operational efficiency. Drivers ensure safe transportation of employees, follow assigned routes, and maintain discipline and safety standards during travel. Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for operating heavy buses safely according to company guidelines and traffic regulations. Daily duties include transporting workers to and from job sites, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance checks, and ensuring passenger safety at all times. Drivers must follow assigned schedules, report any mechanical issues, and comply with all traffic laws and company policies. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate trip records and ensuring smooth coordination with site supervisors for transport planning. Professional driving behavior and safety awareness are essential for this role.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants should have prior experience as heavy or bus drivers, preferably in industrial or construction environments. A valid driving license for heavy vehicles is required. Candidates must have a strong understanding of road safety rules and defensive driving techniques. Experience in Gulf countries will be considered an advantage. A valid iqama, chamber certificate, Muqeem record, and medical fitness report are required for eligibility. Applicants must be responsible, punctual, and capable of working under scheduled transport operations with high discipline.
