Fire Watch (Long-Term)
A Fire Watch is a key industrial safety support role responsible for monitoring work areas where hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding are being performed. This position is essential in preventing fire hazards and ensuring that all safety precautions are strictly followed in industrial and construction environments. In large projects across Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Fire Watch personnel play a critical role in maintaining safe working conditions and responding immediately to any fire-related risks during ongoing site operations.
Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
The Fire Watch personnel will be responsible for continuously monitoring designated work areas during hot work operations to ensure fire safety compliance. Duties include inspecting the site before, during, and after hot work activities, ensuring that fire extinguishing equipment is available and functional, and immediately responding to any signs of smoke, fire, or unsafe conditions.
They are also required to ensure that workers follow safety procedures, maintain constant vigilance during operations, and report any violations or hazards to the site safety officer. Fire Watch personnel must remain at their assigned location throughout the duration of the activity and ensure post-work monitoring is completed as required by safety standards.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Applicants should have prior experience in industrial safety or construction site support roles. Basic knowledge of fire safety procedures, hazard awareness, and emergency response is essential. Candidates must be physically fit, alert, and capable of remaining attentive for long working hours in active construction environments.
Safety certificates will be considered an advantage. Applicants must also possess valid iqama, passport copy, muqeem copy, and updated CV along with any additional documents requested by the employer. Strong discipline, responsibility, and ability to follow instructions are required for this role.
